1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MailVault ("the Service") at mailvault.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility & Invite-Only Access
MailVault is currently invite-only. Access to the Service requires a valid invitation from an existing member or from the MailVault team. Creating accounts through unauthorised means is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using MailVault, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at [email protected].
- Keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MailVault to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or phishing communications.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Harass, threaten, or harm any individual or organisation.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by MailVault and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of any content you send or receive through the Service. You grant us only the minimal technical licences necessary to deliver the Service (e.g., routing and delivering emails).
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily disrupts access. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of scheduled downtime where possible.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAILVAULT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50 GBP.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
